Crispy Asiago and Black Pepper Crackers
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup shredded asiago cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
- 1/3 cup butter (cubed and at room temperature)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2-3 tbsp everything bagel seasoning (we love the @simplyorganic blend)
- Mix together the flour, cheese, salt, and pepper. Add butter and use a pastry cutter or your hands to blend until the dough is crumbly.
- Stir in the milk, then gently knead with your hands until the dough comes together.
- Roll the dough into a log about 2 inches thick. Coat the log in everything bagel seasoning, ensuring an even coating. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for 3 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350ËšF. Using a sharp knife, slice the crackers to a thickness of 1/8 inch.
- Place the slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet (not touching) and bake for ~12-15 minutes. Flip and cook for a few more minutes until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.
