Crispy Asiago and Black Pepper Crackers

Making your own crackers is super easy, and trust me, they taste amazing! We give them an extra kick by adding everything bagel seasoning for that burst of flavor. 😍

To whip up these crackers, you’ll only need 7 ingredients. Feel free to get creative with flavors, but make sure to stick to the base quantities. It’s a breeze to make the dough, shape it into a log, freeze, slice, and bake!

These crackers are fantastic on their own, but one of my go-to combinations is spreading goat cheese on top, adding a slice of pear, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkle of black pepper. 👌

Black Pepper Asiago Crackers (makes ~40)

Crispy Asiago and Black Pepper Crackers

Course Appetizer

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup shredded asiago cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup butter cubed and at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2-3 tbsp everything bagel seasoning we love the @simplyorganic blend

Instructions
 

  • Mix together the flour, cheese, salt, and pepper. Add butter and use a pastry cutter or your hands to blend until the dough is crumbly.
  • Stir in the milk, then gently knead with your hands until the dough comes together.
  • Roll the dough into a log about 2 inches thick. Coat the log in everything bagel seasoning, ensuring an even coating. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for 3 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Using a sharp knife, slice the crackers to a thickness of 1/8 inch.
  • Place the slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet (not touching) and bake for ~12-15 minutes. Flip and cook for a few more minutes until golden brown on both sides.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.
