Who says you can’t enjoy chocolate for breakfast? This easy-to-make double chocolate baked oatmeal is not only delicious but also a breeze to clean up afterward – a definite win-win!
Chocolate Banana Bread Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 2 cups of old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/3 cup of maple syrup
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups of your favorite milk
- 3 ripe bananas mashed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Grease an 11×7 non-stick baking dish with cooking spray.
- Combine all the ingredients, except the chocolate chips, in the prepared baking dish – mashed bananas, oats, maple syrup, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined. Top with dark chocolate chips.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the oatmeal is set and golden brown on top.
- Slice and serve with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Use grass-fed organic unsalted butter if available, or any butter you have on hand. Alternatively, substitute the butter with 1 teaspoon of butter extract.
- Toast walnuts for an extra crunch!
