Want a quick and delicious baked mac and cheese recipe for Thanksgiving? Give this Truffle Mac and Cheese a try! We stumbled upon truffle oil and these vibrant bow tie pasta from @terramarimports.

Instead of the usual cheddar, we jazzed it up with smoked gouda and sharp white cheddar to perfectly complement the truffle oil.

Truffle Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces of bowtie pasta or small pasta noodles
  • 2 teaspoons of truffle oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves of minced garlic
  • 4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
  • ½ cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of smoked gouda cheese
  • 1 cup of sharp white cheddar cheese
  • Optional: Italian flat-leaf parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a 12×8 baking dish, combine the uncooked pasta, truffle oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and broth. Gently toss to combine, being careful not to break the pasta.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the noodles are tender.
  • Remove the foil, add the heavy cream, smoked gouda, and sharp white cheddar. Stir to melt the cheese and combine the ingredients.
  • Garnish with Italian flat-leaf parsley and serve immediately.
