Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte

Ingredients
- 1 cup of strawberries diced finely
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of half & half oat milk, or whole milk
- 2 to 3 teaspoons of matcha powder
- 1 cup of warm water
- 2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup adjust to taste
Instructions
- Combine the diced strawberries with the white sugar in a bowl. Let them sit for 30 minutes to macerate.
- Boil water and whisk matcha powder with 2 tablespoons of water until smooth. Add the rest of the water and chill in the fridge for a few minutes.
- In a cup, add a few tablespoons of macerated strawberries, then fill with lots of ice.
- Pour in the half and half until the cup is two-thirds full.
- Slowly add the chilled matcha on top.
- Stir with a straw and enjoy your homemade Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte!
Notes
- Mash the strawberries a bit with a fork after macerating to make it easier to sip through a straw, or blend them for a smoother texture.
- Adjust the sweetness of the strawberries and matcha according to your taste preference.
- This recipe yields about 2 drinks.
- Store any leftover macerated strawberries in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Customize the sweetness of the matcha with vanilla syrup, maple syrup, or simple syrup to your liking.
