Valentine’s Coffee Starbucks Copycat

Ingredients
  

For the Strawberry Syrup:

  • 10 ounces frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

For the Strawberry Cold Foam:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
  • 3 tablespoons strawberry syrup

For the Drink:

  • 2 to 3 shots of espresso
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon white mocha or chocolate sauce
  • Milk of your choice
  • Strawberry cold foam
  • Freeze-dried strawberries crushed into powder

Instructions
 

Make the Strawberry Syrup:

  • In a pot over medium heat, combine frozen strawberries, sugar, water, and cornstarch.
  • Cook the strawberries for 6 to 7 minutes until softened, then mash them down with a spoon and simmer for another 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Strain the syrup from the pulp into a bowl and set it aside. You can discard the pulp.

Prepare the Cold Foam:

  • In a bowl, jar, or measuring cup, whisk together heavy cream, 2% milk, vanilla, and strawberry syrup using an electric whisk until thickened and pink in color.

Assemble the Drink:

  • In a cup, mix white mocha sauce, chocolate sauce, or your preferred sweetener with espresso shots.
  • Add milk and ice to your liking, then top with strawberry cold foam.
  • Finish it off with a sprinkle of freeze-dried strawberry powder for a delightful finish!
