Strawberry Cheesecake Buns

Ingredients
- 12 King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls 1 pack
For the Cheesecake Filling:
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream 120g
- ¼ cup sugar 55g
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1-2 tablespoon lemon juice or to taste
- 6 oz cream cheese room temperature (170g)
For the Strawberry Glaze:
- 4 tbsp strawberry jam
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
For Decoration (optional):
- 2-3 Graham crackers
- 4-5 strawberries
Instructions
#### Cheesecake Filling:
- Whisk together heavy cream, sugar, salt, vanilla, and lemon juice until thickened.
- Add room temperature cream cheese and whisk until creamy. Avoid overmixing.
- Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a round piping tip.
#### Filling the Buns:
- Use a small knife to create a pocket inside each roll.
- Fill each roll generously with the cheesecake filling (about 25g/roll).
- Refrigerate while you prepare the glaze.
#### Strawberry Glaze:
- Stir all ingredients together in a small saucepan.
- Cook and stir over low heat until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
#### Dipping and Decoration:
- Carefully dip the top of each roll into the glaze and shake off the excess. Place on a wire rack.
- Optionally, decorate the rolls with sliced strawberries and crushed graham crackers.
