Get ready for a sweet treat with my recipe for Strawberry Cheesecake Buns! These delightful desserts are soft and fluffy Hawaiian Sweet Rolls filled with a creamy cheesecake filling and coated in a shiny strawberry glaze. They’re quick to make, taking less than an hour, and they’re sure to impress with their taste and appearance.

Strawberry Cheesecake Buns

Ingredients
  

  • 12 King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls 1 pack

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream 120g
  • ¼ cup sugar 55g
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1-2 tablespoon lemon juice or to taste
  • 6 oz cream cheese room temperature (170g)

For the Strawberry Glaze:

  • 4 tbsp strawberry jam
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

For Decoration (optional):

  • 2-3 Graham crackers
  • 4-5 strawberries

Instructions
 

#### Cheesecake Filling:

  • Whisk together heavy cream, sugar, salt, vanilla, and lemon juice until thickened.
  • Add room temperature cream cheese and whisk until creamy. Avoid overmixing.
  • Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a round piping tip.

#### Filling the Buns:

  • Use a small knife to create a pocket inside each roll.
  • Fill each roll generously with the cheesecake filling (about 25g/roll).
  • Refrigerate while you prepare the glaze.

#### Strawberry Glaze:

  • Stir all ingredients together in a small saucepan.
  • Cook and stir over low heat until the mixture thickens.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

#### Dipping and Decoration:

  • Carefully dip the top of each roll into the glaze and shake off the excess. Place on a wire rack.
  • Optionally, decorate the rolls with sliced strawberries and crushed graham crackers.

Notes

Keep the buns refrigerated for freshness. They can be stored for 3-5 days and are best enjoyed cold.
