Spicy Tuna Crispy Hashbrown Bites

Ingredients

**For the Spicy Tuna:**

  • 1 pound ahi tuna finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Kewpie mayo preferred
  • 3 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions

**For the Spicy Mayo:**

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sambal
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

**Other:**

  • Frozen hash browns
  • Oil spray optional
  • Avocados
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

**Make the Spicy Tuna:**

  • Combine finely diced tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and green onions in a bowl. Mix well.

**Prepare the Spicy Mayo:**

  • In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sambal, Sriracha, sesame oil, sugar, and lemon juice until creamy and smooth. Set aside.

**Prepare the Hash Browns:**

  • For air fryer: Preheat to 400°F. Place hash brown patties in the air fryer, avoiding overcrowding. Optionally, spray with oil for extra crispiness. Cook for 6-8 minutes, flip, and cook another 6-8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • For oven: Preheat to 425°F. Place patties on a wire rack or lined baking tray. Bake for 24-26 minutes, flipping after 12 minutes, until light golden or golden brown and crispy.

**Assemble the Dish:**

  • Top the fried hash browns with thinly sliced avocado. You can leave them plain or season with a little salt and black pepper.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of spicy tuna on top. Drizzle with spicy mayo and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  • Enjoy your flavorful creation!
