For the cinnamon roll:
- 1/2 banana (mashed until smooth)
- 1/2 cup self-rising flour
- 2 tablespoons yogurt of your choice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
For the filling:
- 1 tablespoon butter (or vegan butter, melted)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
For the icing:
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon water
Instructions
- Start by mashing the banana until it’s smooth like a puree. Then, add in the flour, yogurt, and vanilla. If the dough is too sticky, gradually add more flour until it forms a ball. Transfer the dough to a floured surface.
- Use a rolling pin to gently roll out the dough. Be careful not to press too hard.
- Prepare the filling by mixing together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread this mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Cut the dough into two strips, then carefully roll each strip into a spiral shape.
- Place the rolled dough into a greased ramekin or mug.
- Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes until the cinnamon roll is golden brown.
- While it’s baking, mix together the powdered sugar and water to make the icing.
- Once the cinnamon roll is done baking, drizzle the icing over the top.
