Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Garlic Bread

#### Garlic Butter:

  • 1 cup of unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped parsley
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano

#### Philly Cheesesteak Filling:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 green bell peppers (thinly sliced)
  • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1 pound of thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

#### For Assembly:

  • 1 16 oz French bread loaf
  • 2 cups of shredded or sliced cheese (Monterey Jack, American, Cheddar, Provolone)

#### Make the Garlic Butter:

  1. Mix butter, parsley, garlic, parmesan, salt, black pepper, and oregano in a small bowl.

#### Make the Cheesesteak Filling:

  1. In a pan over medium heat, sauté onions in olive oil until soft and tender.
  2. Add bell peppers and garlic, cover to steam until peppers soften.
  3. Transfer onions and peppers to a plate. Melt butter in the same pan.
  4. Add steak to the pan, season with paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until fully cooked through.
  5. Return peppers and onions to the pan, toss together.

#### Assemble and Bake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut French bread loaf in half lengthwise.
  3. Spread butter mixture generously on each half.
  4. Add cheesesteak filling on top, then cover with cheese.
  5. Place on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Turn oven to broil for 3 to 6 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
