Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Garlic Bread

Ingredients

#### Garlic Butter:

  • 1 cup of unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped parsley
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of salt or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano

#### Philly Cheesesteak Filling:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 green bell peppers thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1 pound of thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

#### For Assembly:

  • 1 16 oz French bread loaf
  • 2 cups of shredded or sliced cheese Monterey Jack, American, Cheddar, Provolone

Instructions

#### Make the Garlic Butter:

  • Mix butter, parsley, garlic, parmesan, salt, black pepper, and oregano in a small bowl.

#### Make the Cheesesteak Filling:

  • In a pan over medium heat, sauté onions in olive oil until soft and tender.
  • Add bell peppers and garlic, cover to steam until peppers soften.
  • Transfer onions and peppers to a plate. Melt butter in the same pan.
  • Add steak to the pan, season with paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until fully cooked through.
  • Return peppers and onions to the pan, toss together.

#### Assemble and Bake:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cut French bread loaf in half lengthwise.
  • Spread butter mixture generously on each half.
  • Add cheesesteak filling on top, then cover with cheese.
  • Place on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Turn oven to broil for 3 to 6 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
