Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry (thawed)
  • 23 pears (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar (or regular/brown sugar)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp turbinado sugar (for coating before baking)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Score the puff pastry around the edges with a knife.
  3. In a bowl, mix melted butter, coconut sugar, and spices, then brush over the puff pastry.
  4. Arrange the thinly sliced pears on top.
  5. Brush more of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the pears and sprinkle with turbinado sugar.
  6. Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let it cool slightly, then slice into it and indulge! Enjoy warm with a scoop of ice cream or Greek yogurt.
