Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 sticks of unsalted butter (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp bourbon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare an 8×8 inch pan with non-stick spray and parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in the microwave or on the stovetop, then mix with white chocolate chips and matcha powder until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs with an electric mixer until thick and airy.
  4. Pour the matcha ganache into the egg mixture, add vanilla extract, and mix well.
  5. Sift in flour and salt, then fold until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes. Drop the pan on the counter a few times, then bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Let the brownies cool on the counter, then slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Beat eggs and sugar until thick and airy.
  • Gently fold in sifted flour.
  • Drop brownies on the counter during baking and after they’re done.
  • Ensure brownies are at room temperature before slicing, or chill for easier cutting.
