**Seared Salmon:**

  • 4 salmon fillets without skin
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

**Cream Sauce:**

  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh basil

Instructions

**Cooking the Salmon:**

  • Place the salmon fillets on a plate. Drizzle olive oil over them and season with Italian seasoning, salt, garlic powder, oregano, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Heat a skillet or pan with oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the salmon fillets to the pan and cook for about 3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy. Reduce the heat to low and let the salmon cook through in the center. Remove the fillets from the pan.

**Making the Cream Sauce:**

  • In the same saucepan over medium heat, add the butter and minced garlic. You can also add onions at this step if you’d like. Saute for a minute or two.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and lemon juice. Whisk together and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add the cream cheese and parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and black pepper to your taste.
  • Stir in the basil and parsley.
  • Add the salmon back into the pan with the sauce. Let it sit for a minute or two to reheat in the sauce before serving.
  • Get ready to enjoy your delicious salmon with creamy sauce!
