Cut the bread into sticks, each about 4 inches long and one inch wide.
In a big bowl, whisk the eggs thoroughly. Add in the milk, cream, vanilla, maple syrup, molasses, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Keep whisking until it becomes a smooth mixture.
Heat up your griddle over medium heat. Once it’s hot, add 1 tablespoon of butter to the griddle.
Dip each stick into the egg mixture for about 5-6 seconds on each side. Then, transfer them to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn a beautiful golden brown. Repeat this step with the rest of your French toast sticks.
Serve these warm delights with a dusting of powdered sugar and/or a drizzle of maple syrup.
