Crinkle Phyllo Dough

Ingredients
- 8 oz phyllo dough
- 1 stick of butter melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar
- Optional Toppings: pistachios strawberries
Instructions
- Follow the package instructions to defrost the phyllo dough.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Take two pieces of phyllo at a time, layer them, and crinkle them accordion-style from top to bottom. Lay the folded dough in an ungreased baking pan, starting at the short side. Repeat until the pan is full.
- Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
- While baking, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove.
- Remove the pan from the oven, drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dough, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- In the meantime, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and sugar until smooth.
- Once again, remove the pan from the oven and evenly pour the egg mixture over the dough.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the phyllo dough turns golden brown and becomes flaky to the touch.
