  • 16 oz. full-fat cottage cheese
  • 4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese about 1 cup
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo


  • Blend the cottage cheese in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  • Transfer the smooth cottage cheese into a microwave-safe bowl. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and taco seasoning.
  • Microwave for 1 minute, stir, then microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth and creamy.
  • Top with pico de gallo and serve with tortilla chips.


  • You can use Monterey jack or pepper jack instead of cheddar cheese.
  • For a single serving, blend the entire container of cottage cheese. Use 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, 1/4 teaspoon taco seasoning, and 1 oz. shredded cheese.
  • Microwave in shorter intervals to prevent the cheese from becoming too thick, and remember to stir in between.
  • We even tried microwaving the dip right in the cottage cheese container, and it worked like a charm!
