  • ¾ oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ oz agave syrup or simple syrup
  • 1 ½ oz silver tequila
  • ½ oz Cointreau or another orange-flavored liqueur
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
  • Lime slices
  • 3-4 blueberries

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add 4 oz blueberry juice, ¾ oz lime juice, 1.5 oz tequila, and ½ oz Cointreau to the ice-filled shaker.
  • Pour in ½ oz agave syrup or simple syrup.
  • Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  • Pour the blueberry margarita over ice and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint, lime slices, and a handful of fresh blueberries.

  • Shake thoroughly, especially if using agave syrup, to prevent it from sticking to the ice or sides of the shaker.
  • Cointreau or triple sec are great choices, and there’s no need for top-shelf tequila.
  • If you can’t find blueberry juice, experiment with other sweet and tart juices like pomegranate or cranberry for a unique twist.
