Blueberry Margarita
Servings 1
Ingredients
- 4 oz blueberry juice
- ¾ oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- ½ oz agave syrup or simple syrup
- 1 ½ oz silver tequila
- ½ oz Cointreau or another orange-flavored liqueur
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
- Lime slices
- 3-4 blueberries
Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
- Add 4 oz blueberry juice, ¾ oz lime juice, 1.5 oz tequila, and ½ oz Cointreau to the ice-filled shaker.
- Pour in ½ oz agave syrup or simple syrup.
- Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
- Pour the blueberry margarita over ice and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint, lime slices, and a handful of fresh blueberries.
Notes
- Shake thoroughly, especially if using agave syrup, to prevent it from sticking to the ice or sides of the shaker.
- Cointreau or triple sec are great choices, and there’s no need for top-shelf tequila.
- If you can’t find blueberry juice, experiment with other sweet and tart juices like pomegranate or cranberry for a unique twist.
