Banana Bread Oatmeal

  • 2 cups regular oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups your favorite milk
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter


  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Grease an 11×7 non-stick baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Put all the ingredients (except the chocolate chips) into the prepared baking dish – mashed bananas, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix them well. Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the oatmeal is set and has a golden brown top.
  • Slice it up and serve with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
