Ingredients
#### Apple Cake:
- – 4 large apples about 4 cups, peeled, cored, and diced into 1/2-inch cubes

#### Crumble:
- – 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- – 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- – 1/4 cup white sugar
- – 1/2 teaspoon salt
- – 1 stick 1/2 cup butter, melted
- – 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions
#### Brown Sugar Crumble:
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, white sugar, and salt.
- Pour in the melted butter and almond extract. Mix until large crumbs form. Set aside.
#### Apple Cake:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, mix the diced apples with the vanilla and beaten eggs until combined.
- Add the sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and melted butter. Stir until well mixed.
- Add the flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir until just combined.
- Grease a 9-inch cake pan and pour in the batter, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Top the batter with the prepared crumble.
- Bake for 60-80 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Start checking at around 55 minutes, as baking times may vary by oven.
