Ingredients
- 4.2 oz dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup 1/2 stick dairy-free butter
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup plant-based yogurt at room temperature
- 1 1/3 cups self-rising flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup dairy-free milk at room temperature
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks or chips
- 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
For the Frosting:
- 10.5 oz dairy-free cream cheese
- 1/2 cup plant-based yogurt
- 1/3 cup vegan vanilla protein powder
- 3 tablespoons dairy-free milk adjust as needed
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 340°F and line a square baking tin with parchment paper.
- Melt the dark chocolate with the dairy-free butter, then stir in both sugars until they dissolve.
- Add in the dairy-free milk, vanilla extract, red food coloring, and yogurt. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
- Mix in the flour until the batter is smooth and glossy.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks or chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 30 minutes, or until just set but still gooey in the center.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
- While the brownies cool, make the frosting by whipping together the cream cheese, yogurt, protein powder, and dairy-free milk using an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy.
- Once the brownies are cool, spread the frosting over the top, then slice and enjoy!
