  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 1 brownie 1x
  • Category: Dessert

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.7 oz dark chocolate (65-75% cocoa)
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder (Dutch processed preferred)
  • ¼ of an egg (1 tbsp)
  • 1.5 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • â…› tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp chopped milk chocolate or chocolate chips (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 335°F and prepare a mini loaf pan, ramekin, or muffin cup by brushing with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Add the butter and chocolate to a small heat-safe bowl, and microwave in 15-second increments until melted and warm.
  3. Add the cocoa powder and whisk it in.
  4. Break an egg in a separate bowl and whisk. Take 1 tablespoon (about ¼ of the egg) and add it to the batter. Whisk it in.
  5. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and whisk for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Sift in the flour and salt, and gently fold it in with a small rubber spatula or spoon.
  7. Fold in the chopped chocolate or chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the mini loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes until the brownie is set on the edges but soft in the middle. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with sticky crumbs (but not wet batter).
  10. Enjoy!
