Here’s what you’ll need:
Christmas Tree Bruschetta
Servings 10
Ingredients
- 1 baguette sliced into 1-inch rounds
- 2 cans Hunt’s petite diced tomatoes drained well
- 3 cloves garlic mashed or minced
- 1/2 cup basil finely chopped
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 Babybel cheese to make the star
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Slice the bread and line it up on a baking sheet. Brush each slice with olive oil and sprinkle some sea salt on top. Pop them in the oven for 10-12 minutes, broiling for an extra minute at the end to get those perfect brown edges. Once they’re done, take them out of the oven and set them aside.
- Now, let’s prepare the bruschetta topping. Make sure to drain the canned tomatoes well to remove as much liquid as possible. Transfer them to a bowl and add the minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, grated parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Give everything a good toss until it’s well coated.
- Line up your toasted bread slices in the shape of a Christmas tree on a serving platter or tray. Spoon the bruschetta topping generously over the bread slices.
- To add the finishing touch, use a small cookie cutter to cut out a star shape from the Babybel cheese. Place it on top of your Christmas tree bruschetta.
- Now it’s time to dig in and enjoy your festive creation!
