Servings 10

  • 1 baguette sliced into 1-inch rounds
  • 2 cans Hunt’s petite diced tomatoes drained well
  • 3 cloves garlic mashed or minced
  • 1/2 cup basil finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 Babybel cheese to make the star

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Slice the bread and line it up on a baking sheet. Brush each slice with olive oil and sprinkle some sea salt on top. Pop them in the oven for 10-12 minutes, broiling for an extra minute at the end to get those perfect brown edges. Once they’re done, take them out of the oven and set them aside.
  • Now, let’s prepare the bruschetta topping. Make sure to drain the canned tomatoes well to remove as much liquid as possible. Transfer them to a bowl and add the minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, grated parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Give everything a good toss until it’s well coated.
  • Line up your toasted bread slices in the shape of a Christmas tree on a serving platter or tray. Spoon the bruschetta topping generously over the bread slices.
  • To add the finishing touch, use a small cookie cutter to cut out a star shape from the Babybel cheese. Place it on top of your Christmas tree bruschetta.
  • Now it’s time to dig in and enjoy your festive creation!
