Say goodbye to store-bought granola and get ready to make your own delicious Baklava-style version! All you need are a few basic ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. This homemade granola is a delightful mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, ghee (clarified butter), and honey. It’s super easy to whip up and tastes amazing when sprinkled over yogurt or served with milk.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup ghee
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raw walnuts
  • 1/3 cup raw shelled pistachios
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grab a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the ghee, honey, brown sugar, and vanilla until well combined.
  • In a large bowl, toss together the dry ingredients – oats, walnuts, pistachios, almonds, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Slowly pour the wet ingredients over the dry mixture, stirring until everything is nicely coated.
  • Spread the granola evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until it turns a beautiful golden color, remembering to stir halfway through.
  • Allow the granola to cool completely before breaking it apart. Store your homemade goodness in an airtight container.
