Description
A frosty, kid-friendly punch that’s always a hit — bright, fruity, and fizzy. This batch fills two large punch bowls and disappears fast at family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups water
- 2½ cups granulated sugar
- 2 (3-oz) packets strawberry gelatin mix
- 1 (46 fl oz) can pineapple juice
- ⅔ cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 quart orange juice
- 2 (2-liter) bottles lemon-lime soda, chilled
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the water, sugar, and strawberry gelatin to a rolling boil. Keep it boiling for three minutes while stirring so the sugar and gelatin dissolve completely.
- Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice until the mixture is uniform. Let it cool slightly.
- Pour the punch mixture into two shallow, freezer-safe containers (splitting into two speeds freezing). Cover and freeze until solid.
- To serve, break one frozen block into chunks in a punch bowl. Pour one chilled 2-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda over the frozen pieces and stir gently until the mixture loosens into a slushy consistency.
- Repeat with the second frozen portion and the remaining soda when you need more. Serve immediately with a ladle.
