Description

A frosty, kid-friendly punch that’s always a hit — bright, fruity, and fizzy. This batch fills two large punch bowls and disappears fast at family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups water
  • 2½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 (3-oz) packets strawberry gelatin mix
  • 1 (46 fl oz) can pineapple juice
  • ⅔ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 quart orange juice
  • 2 (2-liter) bottles lemon-lime soda, chilled

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the water, sugar, and strawberry gelatin to a rolling boil. Keep it boiling for three minutes while stirring so the sugar and gelatin dissolve completely.
  2. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice until the mixture is uniform. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Pour the punch mixture into two shallow, freezer-safe containers (splitting into two speeds freezing). Cover and freeze until solid.
  4. To serve, break one frozen block into chunks in a punch bowl. Pour one chilled 2-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda over the frozen pieces and stir gently until the mixture loosens into a slushy consistency.
  5. Repeat with the second frozen portion and the remaining soda when you need more. Serve immediately with a ladle.
