  • 480 ml dairy-free milk almond, soy, or oat
  • 115 g dairy-free butter melted
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2¼ tsp
  • 650 g bread flour
  • 2 tsp ground coffee
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Filling:

  • 170 g dairy-free butter softened
  • 150 g light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground coffee

Frosting:

  • 150 g dairy-free cream cheese
  • 150 g thick dairy-free cream double cream or coconut cream
  • 100 g icing sugar
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

  • In a saucepan, heat the dairy-free milk until warm (about 110°F or 43°C). Do not boil.
  • In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, melted dairy-free butter, and sugar. Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the mixture and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • In another bowl, mix the bread flour, ground coffee, salt, and baking powder.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing with a wooden spoon until a dough forms.
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling:

  • In a small bowl, mix the softened dairy-free butter, light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground coffee until well combined.

Assemble the Rolls:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about ¼-inch thick.
  • Spread the coffee cinnamon filling evenly over the dough.
  • Starting from the long edge, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
  • Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, cut side up.
  • Cover the dish with a towel or plastic wrap and let the rolls rise again for about 30-45 minutes, or until puffy.

Bake the Rolls:

  • Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Allow the rolls to cool slightly in the pan while you prepare the frosting.

Prepare the Frosting:

  • In a large bowl, beat the dairy-free cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add the thick dairy-free cream and icing sugar, mixing until light and fluffy.

Serve:

  • Spread the creamy frosting over the warm rolls.
  • Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
  • Enjoy these delicious, pillowy soft Tiramisu Cinnamon Rolls!

Notes

  • Dairy-Free Milk: Ensure the milk is warm but not too hot to avoid killing the yeast.
  • Ground Coffee: For a more intense coffee flavor, you can increase the amount of ground coffee in the dough and filling.
  • Serving: These rolls are best enjoyed warm and fresh, but can be reheated in the microwave for a quick treat later.
