Ingredients
Scale
- 1 store-bought pizza dough ball (or make your own!)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 3/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Toppings (use your favorites like olives, red onion, and pepperoni)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 500°F. Place your 10 or 12-inch cast iron skillet in the oven and let it heat up for about 20 minutes.
- Carefully take the hot skillet out of the oven. Be cautious—it’s hot! Coat the inside of the pan with a bit of olive oil.
- Stretch out your pizza dough, then gently place it into the skillet.
- Now it’s time to add the toppings! Spread on the pizza sauce, sprinkle over the mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and add a dash of Italian seasoning. Don’t forget to pile on your favorite toppings too!
- Pop the skillet back into the oven and bake for around 12 minutes, or until the crust turns a beautiful golden brown and the toppings are cooked to perfection.
- Once it’s done, carefully take the pizza out of the oven. Slide it onto a cutting board, slice it up, and dig in! Enjoy your homemade pizza goodness!
