Ingredients

  • 12 King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (1 pack)

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream (120g)
  • ¼ cup sugar (55g)
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 12 tablespoon lemon juice (or to taste)
  • 6 oz cream cheese (room temperature (170g))

For the Strawberry Glaze:

  • 4 tbsp strawberry jam
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

For Decoration (optional):

  • 23 Graham crackers
  • 45 strawberries


Instructions

#### Cheesecake Filling:

  1. Whisk together heavy cream, sugar, salt, vanilla, and lemon juice until thickened.
  2. Add room temperature cream cheese and whisk until creamy. Avoid overmixing.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a round piping tip.

#### Filling the Buns:

  1. Use a small knife to create a pocket inside each roll.
  2. Fill each roll generously with the cheesecake filling (about 25g/roll).
  3. Refrigerate while you prepare the glaze.

#### Strawberry Glaze:

  1. Stir all ingredients together in a small saucepan.
  2. Cook and stir over low heat until the mixture thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

#### Dipping and Decoration:

  1. Carefully dip the top of each roll into the glaze and shake off the excess. Place on a wire rack.
  2. Optionally, decorate the rolls with sliced strawberries and crushed graham crackers.

Notes

Keep the buns refrigerated for freshness. They can be stored for 3-5 days and are best enjoyed cold.
