Salted Caramel Buttercream Recipe

This frosting is incredibly smooth, creamy, and pipes like a dream šŸ˜. It also holds its shape perfectly when piped.

Ingredients

For the Frosting:

  • 1 cup dairy-free butter softened to room temperature
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Salted Caramel Sauce

For the Salted Caramel Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  • Begin by making the salted caramel sauce. Mix together the melted coconut oil, almond butter, and maple syrup until smooth. Set aside.
  • Using a hand mixer or the paddle attachment on your stand mixer, cream the softened butter on medium-high speed until it becomes creamy and light in color.
  • With the mixer on low, gradually add the powdered sugar, making sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl after each addition.
  • Finally, add the salted caramel sauce and continue mixing on low speed until fully incorporated.
