  • Category: Dessert

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1/41/3 cup of chocolate spread such as tahini or Nutella
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the thawed puff pastry sheets. Spread a generous layer of chocolate spread on one sheet, then place the second sheet on top.
  3. Use a pizza cutter to slice the pastry into 1-inch-wide strips, leaving the end piece intact for the stars.
  4. Roll each strip accordion-style with at least four layers, creating a tree shape. Insert a skewer into the center of each tree and place them on the baking sheet.
  5. Use a small star cookie cutter to cut stars from the remaining pastry sheet. Place one star on top of each tree.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy these delightful Puff Pastry Christmas Trees warm!

Notes

  • Let the puff pastry thaw to room temperature for easier handling.
  • Ensure each pastry strip has at least four layers for the perfect tree shape.
  • Embrace the messiness—it’s part of the fun!
  • Use long wooden skewers for assembling the trees.
