Puff Pastry Christmas Trees
Servings 7 CHRISTMAS TREES
Ingredients
- 2 sheets of puff pastry thawed
- 1/4-1/3 cup of chocolate spread such as tahini or Nutella
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the thawed puff pastry sheets. Spread a generous layer of chocolate spread on one sheet, then place the second sheet on top.
- Use a pizza cutter to slice the pastry into 1-inch-wide strips, leaving the end piece intact for the stars.
- Roll each strip accordion-style with at least four layers, creating a tree shape. Insert a skewer into the center of each tree and place them on the baking sheet.
- Use a small star cookie cutter to cut stars from the remaining pastry sheet. Place one star on top of each tree.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy these delightful Puff Pastry Christmas Trees warm!
Notes
- Let the puff pastry thaw to room temperature for easier handling.
- Ensure each pastry strip has at least four layers for the perfect tree shape.
- Embrace the messiness—it’s part of the fun!
- Use long wooden skewers for assembling the trees.
