Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups salted pretzels (any shape works, but square is preferred)
  • 1 cup grass-fed butter (or dairy-free butter)
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dairy-free chocolate chips)
  • Topping: shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a small 13×9.5-inch baking sheet with parchment paper, coating it with non-stick spray.
  2. Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on the parchment paper.
  3. In a saucepan over medium/low heat, combine the sugars and butter, stirring constantly until melted and bubbly.
  4. Pour the caramel over the pretzels, spreading it evenly with a spatula, then bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the caramel, and return to the oven for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Spread the melted chocolate evenly, then add desired toppings.
  7. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes or until completely hardened.
  8. Break apart or cut into squares and enjoy!
