Pork Dumplings
Servings 6
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 green onion thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon freshly minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 25 dumpling wrappers
- 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking
**Dipping Sauce:**
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet and tangy rice vinegar
- 1 green onion minced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, minced garlic, sliced green onion, minced ginger, soy sauce, and oyster sauce until well combined.
- Now, let’s assemble the dumplings. Keep a small bowl of water nearby. Place a tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edge of the wrapper with water using your finger. Fold the dumpling in half and press the edges tightly to seal. Repeat until all the wrappers and pork mixture are used.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add 6-10 dumplings at a time, ensuring they don’t stick together. Cook for 2-3 minutes after they float to the surface. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and set aside. Repeat until all dumplings are cooked.
- Prepare the dipping sauce by whisking together soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced green onion.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a batch of dumplings to the skillet and fry for 1-2 minutes until browned. Flip and fry the other side for another minute until golden brown. Remove from the skillet once both sides are crispy.
- Serve the fried dumplings with the dipping sauce and enjoy your delicious homemade treat!
