Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce low-sodium
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons butter or oil
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion
  • 1/4 cup yellow sweet corn
  • Cooked jasmine rice

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili paste, black pepper, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and rice vinegar. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  • Dissolve cornstarch in water and add it to the pan, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove the sauce from heat once it reaches the desired consistency and transfer it to a bowl.
  • In a skillet or large pan over medium-high heat, melt a tablespoon of butter or heat oil. Place a serving of rice in the center and surround it with thinly sliced steak.
  • Drizzle the desired amount of sauce over the steak.
  • Cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until the steak reaches your preferred level of doneness.
  • Add corn and green onions on top, and finish with cracked black pepper. Enjoy your sizzling homemade Pepper Lunch!
