Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings, joints separated (drumettes + flats)
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice – fresh is fabulous, canned works too
- 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce – choose a thick version for that perfect cling
- 2 tbsp honey – balances the tang with sweetness
- 1 tbsp soy sauce – a touch of salty umami
- 1 tbsp minced garlic – fresh if you can, but jarred is fine
- 1 tsp grated ginger – zingy and aromatic
- 1/2 tsp black pepper – freshly cracked
Instructions
- Heat the oven. Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Grab a rimmed baking sheet and line it with parchment to keep things mess-free.
- Bake the wings. Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer (no overlapping!) and pop them in the oven. Roast for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through to get even crispiness.
- Make the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and pepper until smooth and well blended.
- Glaze and finish. Pull the wings from the oven, brush generously with your pineapple-teriyaki mix, and return them for another 15 minutes. The sauce should bubble and caramelize into a sticky coating.
- Serve it up. Pile wings onto a platter, drizzle with extra glaze, and bring napkins—because these wings are messy in the best way possible!
Notes
- Tips & Tricks
- For ultra-crispy skin: Switch on the broiler during the last 2–3 minutes, but keep a close eye—sugar burns fast.
- Grill option: Cook the wings over medium heat on the grill, brushing with glaze during the last few minutes for that smoky edge.
- Storage: Leftovers (if there are any!) will keep in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to bring back the crunch.
- 🔥 Shortcut idea: Double the glaze recipe and keep some in the fridge—it makes an awesome dipping sauce for everything from meat skewers to grilled veggies.
