Hot Cocoa Mug Cake

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup hot cocoa mix
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips

**Topping:**

  • Marshmallows
  • Hot fudge sauce
  1. In a large mug, combine all the ingredients and mix well using a small whisk, fork, or spoon.
  2. Microwave the mug cake for about 90 seconds to 2 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Be careful not to overcook to prevent dryness.
  3. Top the mug cake with toasted marshmallows and/or hot fudge sauce.
  4. Allow it to cool for a minute or two, then dive in and enjoy the warm, chocolatey goodness!
