Greek Yogurt Bagels

Ingredients
  

  • 1 + 1/4 cup all-purpose or whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Everything but the Bagel seasoning

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms. You may need to knead it with your hands.
  • Roll the dough into a ball and let it rest covered with a damp towel for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • On a floured surface, knead the dough again, then divide it into sections and shape each into a bagel.
  • Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with seasoning.
  • Bake for 25-28 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  • Enjoy your bagels toasted with cream cheese or your favorite toppings!

Notes

  • Mixing dry ingredients first helps ensure a uniform dough.
  • Flour your hands as needed to handle the sticky dough.
  •  For a vegan option, use dairy-free yogurt.
  • Experiment with different seasonings to customize your bagels.
