Ingredients
- 1 8-oz. log of goat cheese
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- Kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

- Step 2: Slice the goat cheese into 12 rounds. Coat each round in flour, then dip in egg, and roll in breadcrumbs. Press firmly to stick. Place on a baking sheet and chill while heating the oil.
- Step 3: Line a plate with paper towels. Heat oil in a skillet until it reaches 350°F.
- Step 4: Fry the cheese rounds until golden brown on both sides. Transfer to the paper towel-lined plate and season with salt.
- Step 5: Arrange the bites on a platter, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with fresh thyme.
