Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces halloumi cheese
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the flour coating:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

For the egg coating:

  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

For the Panko coating:

  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix together flour, paprika, dried parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  • In a third bowl, combine Panko breadcrumbs, paprika, dried parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Place the halloumi cheese blocks on a cutting board and slice them into small squares or rectangles.
  • Dip each piece into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the Panko breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan to 350°F.
  • Fry the nuggets until they turn golden brown all around, which should only take a few minutes.
  • Remove the nuggets from the oil and place them on a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
  • Serve these cheesy delights with marinara sauce or honey for a deliciously sweet and salty combination.
