  • 1 cup melted salted butter
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Ghirardelli cocoa powder
  • 8 oz Ghirardelli Bittersweet Baking Bar


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 12×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a big bowl, mix together the melted butter, oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Whisk it all together. Add vanilla and eggs, beat for 30 seconds until the batter gets a lighter brown.
  3. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix lightly until just combined.
  4. Chop the chocolate and add about ¾ of it (around 1 ½ bars or 6 oz) to the mix. Gently fold in the chocolate.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chunks on top.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the center doesn’t jiggle. For fudgy brownies, don’t over bake! If you like them cakey, bake for 5-8 minutes longer.
  7. Take them out of the oven and let them cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting into them! Enjoy your delicious homemade brownies!
