Cinnamon Bourbon Cranberry Sauce
Servings 8
Ingredients
- 1 pound Fresh Cranberries or frozen
- 1/2 cup Coconut Sugar
- 1/2 cup Orange Juice
- 1/2 cup Water
- 3 tablespoons Bourbon
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
Instructions
- Begin by preparing your cranberries. Rinse and dry them thoroughly. If using frozen cranberries, there’s no need to rinse.
- In a large pot, combine the cranberries, coconut sugar, orange juice, and water. Heat over medium-high heat until it reaches a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and add the bourbon, vanilla extract, and cinnamon stick.
- Stir everything together well and let it simmer for 20-22 minutes until the cranberry sauce thickens. If you prefer a thicker consistency, let it simmer for an extra minute or two.
- Remove the cinnamon stick, give it a final stir, and it’s ready to serve!
- Enjoy it immediately, or chill it in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy your Thanksgiving meal!
