Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Fresh Cranberries (or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 3 tablespoons Bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing your cranberries. Rinse and dry them thoroughly. If using frozen cranberries, there’s no need to rinse.
  2. In a large pot, combine the cranberries, coconut sugar, orange juice, and water. Heat over medium-high heat until it reaches a boil.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and add the bourbon, vanilla extract, and cinnamon stick.
  4. Stir everything together well and let it simmer for 20-22 minutes until the cranberry sauce thickens. If you prefer a thicker consistency, let it simmer for an extra minute or two.
  5. Remove the cinnamon stick, give it a final stir, and it’s ready to serve!
  6. Enjoy it immediately, or chill it in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy your Thanksgiving meal!
