Description

These cookies blend melty chocolate and peanut-buttery bites with crunchy pretzel pieces for a snack that’s crisp at the edges and soft in the middle. They’re easy to make and perfect for sharing — or hiding in the back of the fridge for solo snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt
  • ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup (100 g) packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, brought to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (170 g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
  • ½ cup (75 g) peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup (about 50 g) pretzels, roughly crushed

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line one or two baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a roomy mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with the brown and granulated sugars until the mixture looks light and puffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Add the dry blend to the wet ingredients and fold just until you no longer see streaks of flour — don’t overwork the dough.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and crushed pretzels so they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons (or use a medium cookie scoop) onto the prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the rims are golden while the centers still look slightly soft.
  8. Let the cookies sit on the pan for 4–5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Storage tip: Keep cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. You can also freeze baked cookies or portioned dough for later baking.
