Brownie Fudge Pudding

Posted on

Imagine the best of both worlds: brownies and brownie batter combined. That’s our grandma’s brownie fudge pudding, a simple yet incredibly decadent and delicious treat.

Our mom used to make this recipe from our grandma. This brownie fudge pudding is a chocolate lover’s dream, somewhere between a brownie and brownie batter. Baked in a water bath, it has a fudgy, pudding-like consistency. Serve it warm with ice cream for an insanely delicious dessert.

Ingredients

  • – 4 large eggs
  • – 2 cups granulated sugar
  • – ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • – ½ cup cocoa powder
  • – 1 cup melted salted butter
  • – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • – ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, use electric beaters to mix the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 5 minutes.
  • Gradually add in the flour and cocoa powder, mixing on low until just combined.
  • Pour in the melted butter, vanilla, and salt, and mix on low until just combined. Set the batter aside.
  • Prepare a water bath. Place a greased 8×8” pan inside a larger dish (like a 9×13” pan). Add warm water (almost boiling) to the larger dish until it reaches halfway up the sides of the 8×8” pan.
  • Bake on the lowest oven rack for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The center should still be gooey, so don’t over-bake.
