Description
Finding the perfect party snack that’s fast, tasty, and still feels a little fancy can be tricky. When you’re running around tidying up, fielding last-minute texts, and getting drinks ready, the last thing you need is a complicated recipe that takes forever.
Enter this Spicy Ricotta & Hot Honey Dip — my ultimate low-effort, high-reward appetizer. It’s creamy, sweet, spicy, and totally addictive. Best of all, it comes together in minutes with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups creamy ricotta cheese (about 475 g)
- Zest and juice of ½ lemon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- A pinch of freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ cup runny honey
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (your favorite brand)
- ½ teaspoon crushed red chili flakes
- 1–2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- ¼ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
Instructions
- Whip the Ricotta
- Place the ricotta, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a blender or food processor. Blend on high for 1–2 minutes until the mixture is smooth, fluffy, and spreadable. Transfer it to a shallow serving dish and set aside.
- Make the Spicy Honey
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, and chili flakes until everything is fully mixed and slightly thinned out. This will be your sweet-and-spicy drizzle.
- Build the Dip
- Spoon or drizzle the hot honey over the whipped ricotta. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts and fresh rosemary for crunch and aroma.
- Time to Serve
- Serve right away with your favorite dippers — crusty bread slices, pita chips, or crunchy crackers all work perfectly. Invite everyone to scoop, spread, and enjoy the creamy-sweet-spicy combo.
