Ingredients

  • – 3 spotty bananas (about 1.5-2 cups mashed)
  • – 1/2 cup almond butter (or any other nut or seed butter)
  • – 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • – 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (or substitute coconut sugar, brown sugar, or cane sugar)
  • – 1/3 cup cacao powder
  • – 1 tsp baking soda
  • – 3/4 cup oat flour (or substitute all-purpose or a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend)
  • – 1/2 tsp salt
  • – 1/2 cup chocolate chips (+ more for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a 9×9 or 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Add almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Add oat flour, cacao powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix with a rubber spatula until a thick batter forms.
