Sesame Flaxseed Crackers

Posted on

Let me tell you about these addictive homemade crackers that my parents introduced me to. I couldn’t get them out of my head, so I decided to create my own version, and let me tell you, I’m absolutely hooked on the flavors! I ended up devouring the whole batch just like that, but these crackers are versatile. You can use them for dipping or sprinkle them over salads for extra crunch. The best part? They’re vegan, gluten-free, grain-free, and nut-free, packed with fiber and healthy fats. Plus, you can customize the seasonings to your liking!

Course Snack

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole flaxseeds
  • 2/3 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos or low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 275°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix well. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to absorb the water.
  • Spread the mixture evenly on the parchment paper, making sure it’s no more than 1/4 inch thick. This ensures even cooking and crispiness.
  • Bake for 25 minutes. The crackers will be hard but not entirely crispy yet.
  • Flip the crackers over and gently remove the parchment paper. Bake for another 18-20 minutes until crispy.
  • Let them cool, then break them into pieces and enjoy the crunchy goodness!
