Who doesn’t love a classic margarita? But have you ever tried spicing it up with strawberries and mezcal for a modern twist? Mezcal brings a unique earthy, smoky flavor to the traditional tequila-based margarita, while fresh strawberries add the perfect touch of sweetness and tartness. If you’re ready to elevate your summer cocktail game, this recipe is a must-try.
We’ve kept things simple to let the strawberries shine, but don’t hesitate to get creative. Adding some fresh basil or mint would be delightful, or you could rim the glass with Tajín for a spicy kick. While we prefer Cointreau for this drink, any triple sec will work just fine. Keep in mind that some triple sec brands are sweeter than others, so adjust according to your taste preference. For more tips, check out our article on orange liqueurs and triple sec recommendations. However you mix it up, this drink is guaranteed to become a summer favorite. Cheers!
