5-Ingredient Garlic Yogurt Sauce
Servings 12
Ingredients
- 1 jalapeño pepper
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 cups full-fat yogurt you can use low-fat, but it won’t be as creamy
- 1/3 cup tahini paste make sure to stir it well
Instructions
- Start by prepping the jalapeño and garlic. Remove the stems and seeds from the jalapeño, then quarter it to make blending easier.
- Use a mortar and pestle to mash the jalapeño and garlic together until they form a soft paste. You can add salt during this step to help break down the ingredients and boost the flavor.
- Once the jalapeño and garlic are blended, transfer them to a food processor or blender.
- Add the remaining ingredients to the food processor: 2 cups of yogurt and 1/3 cup of tahini paste.
- Blend all the ingredients together until you achieve a smooth and creamy texture. This might take a few minutes, depending on your machine’s power.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. Feel free to add more salt or tahini to suit your taste.
- Once the sauce reaches your desired consistency and flavor, transfer it to a serving bowl.
- You can chill the sauce in the refrigerator for a while to let the flavors blend, or serve it right away. It can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
- Enjoy this creamy yogurt sauce with a kick of jalapeño and tahini as a tasty dip for chips, fresh veggies, or as a flavorful topping for your favorite dishes!
